What is PBIS?

PBIS stands for Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports.

Our vision is to have:

• A SAFE school in which no one is spending time or energy in trying to protect themselves from emotional or physical harm.
• A CIVIL school in which everyone is pleasant, polite, and respectful to everyone else- even during disagreements.
• A PRODUCTIVE school in which students are motivated, engaged in meaningful learning tasks, and experiencing growth.

 

Gibsonville Elementary's PBIS Incentives and Rewards

Students are rewarded in a variety of ways for following the PBIS policies. Our school wide incentive program focuses on giving out tickets to students who are following the PBIS policies. Any staff member may give a student a ticket. Students are given tickets for following the PBIS policies in the hallway, on the bus, cafeteria, restroom and playground.
